Oldblackwater on 06 03 15 02 16pm i m getting a lot of corrosion on one of my two 6v batteries enough that i ve had to replace the terminal nuts twice in the last year or so.
The corrosion seems to be more on the house battery side of the compartment.
Keep the area clean and corrosion free with the same solution of baking soda and water that you use to maintain the terminals.
Some commonly affected parts are folding staircases electrical harnesses brake lines battery terminals and other chassis elemen.
My newmar is a dp and my engine batteries are very well vented plus they are sealed units so never any corrosion there.
Even just spraying with a hose will help but the best option is to wash the rv battery area with a mild solution of baking soda and water.

I plan on removing all the batteries wire brushing the corrosion treating with baking soda and water painting the area with a rustoleum rust primer then painting that with either a bedliner spray or an undercoating spray.
